PHOTO WORKSHOP

I am proud to announce, registration to the Course that I will be teaching this Spring at Ryerson, begins March 18th!

This workshop is designed for anyone with a love for digital photography and a desire to capture honest portraits of infants, babies & children; whether for keeping personal memories, or for professional or commercial publication. There will be a review of basic photography fundamentals: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. This workshop will provide an understanding of the key principles of infant, baby and child portraiture; specifically posing (with and without props), perspective, lighting (continuous light soft boxes vs flash), safety, timing and tricks of the trade when photographing difficult subjects. This workshop will also provide students with the necessary skills to photograph both indoor and outdoor portraits. This workshop will focus on both technical theory and practice (including weekly assignments). With the instructor’s experienced guidance, you will be able to experiment each week and will have opportunities to discuss problems and issues, when your assignments are viewed and critiqued in class. The workshop emphasizes a new approach to infant, baby and child portraiture and provides learning techniques that will give you more confidence when photographing small subjects with big personalities.
